2026 szilveszterén több mint harminc év után kerül új produkcióban a Met repertoárjára A Nyugat lánya. Puccini izgalmas vadnyugati drámáját az ünnepelt brit rendező, Richard Jones állítja színpadra. A szoprán Sondra Radvanovsky tovább gazdagítja már így is figyelemre méltó Met-repertoárját, most először alakítva Minnie-t, a karizmatikus, kemény, mégis aranyszívű kocsmárosnőt, akire akkor talál rá a szerelem, amikor a legkevésbé számít rá. Dick Johnson a vadnyugati bányavárosban felbukkanva rögtön elrabolja Minnie szívét. A sármos bandita szerepében a tenor SeokJong Baek látható. Ellenfele Jack Rance seriffként a bariton Christopher Maltman, aki nemcsak igazságot akar szolgáltatni, de Minnie kegyeiért is versenybe száll. Az operairodalom akciókban legdúsabb kalandtörténeteinek egyikét ezúttal Keri-Lynn Wilson vezényli.
