The evening when the legend of Hungarian jazz and the American gospel icon unite their stunning talents. Kossuth Prize-winning pianist Gusztáv Csík has been one of the most defining figures in domestic and universal jazz history for decades, characterized by his virtuosity, breathtaking improvisation skills, and deep musical intellect, with which he has conquered the world's most famous stages. Beside him, joined by her two fantastic companions as the soul of the choir, Chicago-born Joan Faulkner takes the stage—hailed by audiences as the queen of African-American gospel and jazz due to her staggering vocal range, elemental voice, and overwhelming stage presence. She blends the spiritual roots of traditional gospel with the secular yet soul-stirring melodies of soul and jazz, bringing authentic and deep emotion to every single song.
