We invite you to join the English-language tour led by curator Tamás Don of the exhibition MODEM 20: Selections from the MODEM Collection on 29 October, at 5 PM! About the exhibition: Founded in 2006, the MODEM Centre for Modern and Contemporary Arts is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The concept of the exhibition reflects on this milestone occasion. Since its inception, collaboration with Debrecen’s cultural and educational institutions has been of central importance to MODEM. To mark the anniversary, we invited twenty partner organizations from Debrecen, with whom we have worked over the past two decades, to select a work from our collection that they consider particularly significant and to provide a short statement of up to 1,500 characters explaining their choice. Through this anniversary exhibition, we aim not only to showcase the cultural diversity of Debrecen but also to present a kaleidoscopic view of the artworks in our collection through the perspectives of our partner institutions.
