ása:\nThe soundtrack of uninhibited self-expression – Arlo Parks brings
her new album to Budapest. Arlo Parks has often been described as the voi
ce of her generation\, poetically singing about the everyday emotions of h
erself and her contemporaries in her delicate songs. The talented singer-s
ongwriter will release her latest album\, Ambiguous Desire\, in April\, pr
esenting the artist in her most experimental and self-assured form to date
. She will also bring her new songs to Budapest on November 22 at Akváriu
m Klub. Arlo Parks first broke into the public consciousness with her 2019
debut EP\, Super Sad Generation\, which blended raw\, lyrical self-expres
sion with vibrant vocal melodies. Born in London\, Parks has since won the
Mercury Music Prize for her 2021 gold-certified debut album (Collapsed in
Sunbeams)\, was named Rising Star at the 2021 BRIT Awards\, and has also
been nominated for both the Grammy Awards and the Ivor Novello Awards. She
has performed on the stages of the Glastonbury Festival and Coachella\, t
oured as support for Billie Eilish and Harry Styles\, and promoted her 202
3 album My Soft Machine on a world tour. The record reached the UK Top 10
and was also nominated for a BRIT Award. She is just as active as a poet a
s she is as a performer: in 2023 she published her first book\, The Magic
 Border\, and also worked as a contributor on Beyoncé’s Grammy-winning a
lbum Cowboy Carter. In 2025 she became the youngest UNICEF ambassador ever
\, while continuing her humanitarian work. Her long-awaited third album\,
Ambiguous Desire\, will be released on April 3. The record presents Parks
in her most confident and experimental form yet. It is the soundtrack of u
ninhibited self-expression — a life-affirming new work from one of music
’s most irrepressible voices. The inspirations behind Ambiguous Desire i
nclude a variety of nightlife spaces: the strobe lights at the Midnight Lo
vers club in Los Angeles\, the pulsing bass under the K Bridge in Greenpoi
nt\, or encounters with new faces within the walls of Venue MOT in London.
“Over the past two years\, while writing this album\, I fell in love wi
th nightlife spaces\,” says Parks. “They were places where I could be
whoever I wanted to be that night: I could stay on the periphery or dive h
eadfirst into the night and escape for hours on the dance floor. There was
something playful about getting lost and then reappearing in the world ag
ain. Every time I stepped back out into the daylight\, I felt full of insp
iration.” The result is twelve songs from the British singer-songwriter
’s most sensitive\, yet also most confident and liberated musical work t
o date. Hungarian audiences will get a taste of it on November 22 at Akvá
rium Klub. Tickets will first be available to members of the artist’s of
ficial fan club starting March 10 at 10:00 AM\, while registered Live Nati
on members can access the presale from March 12 at 10:00 AM.
